Wedding photography workshops in Manchester !
I have had a lot of requests from amateur/semi professional photographers about whether I would be running any wedding workshops this year!
Well I am pleased to announce that I am in the last stages of putting together a syllabus for a weekend long workshop. These will be running in my off season [ie when I don't have a wedding booked!].
Details to follow…watch this space!

Congratulations to Helen and John !
When you live in the City Center of Manchester…there is only one place to get married and that’s St Anne’s Church !
There’s nothing like a busy Saturday in the Center of Manchester to have a great wedding location. Helen and John had hoped to be able to walk from the ceremony at St Annes on to the Reception at the Midland Hotel, but unfortunately it started raining [just enough] to make the black cab a sensible option…

It seems that my email server has been out of action for the last 24 hours, so if you have emailed me it has been bounced back to you, it is however all working again now!

A quick peak at Tara and Marco’s Wedding Album. Tara only likes black and white photos, and had a very traditional style in mind for their wedding album. This is the first ‘white’ album that has been requested for some time!
This is the white version of the Spicer Madison album, this is a 20 page album, which allows for 40 prints! {One print on each side of the page}

Congratulations to Tara and Marco !
Tara is not a fan of colour photographs and preferred traditional black and whites !

Fabulous studio- looking forward to seeing more of it. Found you through Flickr- love your work.
Unfortunately the studio has had to take a back set to all the other work…but it is nearly finished !
There are a few bits to finish, the floor has had another coat of paint since this picture, electrics are being moved and there’s a bit of varnishing left to do. The oak beams have come up really well. The walls are white! The floor is white! – the floor will wipe clean. Five days still the floor will be fully dry!
The steel door will be coming off and is going to be replaced with a firedoor. The roof boards and roof insulation are due to go up next week.

Happy new year to all !
The blog is currently being updated so there are some bits that don’t work…
More photos of the studio next week, other work has put the studio build back by a couple of weeks.

The boards for the floor came Tuesday morning. 8′ x 4′ sheets of chipboard take a bit of moving up two flights of stairs !

Josh and I started work at the weekend…

It’s a great floor but I haven’t got the time to sand and varnish, so a new floor is going in over the top.

Yesterday we got the keys to our new studio…
…well it will be a studio, soon !
It even included some luxury furniture…

Hey Dad, do those trap doors work?

Dad, I’m tired just thinking of what we have to do! No heating, no lights and I think the temperatrure is about -3C !!!

I have just found out I am now officially an “Award winning Photographer” !!!!
I haven’t done this on my own, I have to thank Ric & Lisa for allowing me to be part of their day at Peckforton Castle. I’m afraid I don’t know the names of the two girls, so I can’t credit them but they certainly help make the picture.
This photo has been given a Silver Award by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers – SWPP and BPPA.

Yet another wet and wild day in Manchester !
Fortunately we had a break in the rain to get a few shots outside, though not as many as we had planned.
The wedding was at the Old Court House in Worsley, a fantastic looking building !
Congratulations again to Darren and Jenni, thanks for allowing me to be part of your special day !

Mr and Mrs Ogden

Darren and Jenni opted to have all their highres images so if you would like any copies please get in touch with them directly. Alternatively you can order prints online here.
The online gallery is only available for 3 months from the wedding date. If you need prints after that time please get in touch.

I was fortunate to be able to photograph Lorenzo and Yvonne’s wedding over in Wakefield, Leeds today !
We had a break in the rain for about half an hour before the heavens opened.
